Senator Yallah wants Bong County divided into two

Monrovia-Bong County Senator Henry Yallah has maintained his decision to submit a bill seeking for a creation of another county, given the huge population of Bong County.

According to Senator Yallah, he is currently holding serious consultation with chiefs and elders including top officials for the submission of the bill to the Liberian Senate.

He told reporters at his Capitol office that there are many towns and villages bordering several adjacent counties that are not benefiting from the local governance structure of the county.

He also indicated that some of the towns and villages are not also benefiting from the needed developments and at such the county must be divided.

Senator Henry Yallah said such action by him does not have any political undertone but is intended for the huge population in the county to feel the impact of development.
