Boloken Health center reportedly shut down due to discovery of blood in the OIC’s room

MONROVIA: Citizens of Boloken town in Maryland County’s Pleebo district have intensified calls for reopening of the only Health Center in the area.

It can be recalled the Health Center in Boloken town was closed down on June 11, 2019, after a poll of blood was observed in the rooms of health workers assigned at the center.

The Officer in Charge of the Boloken Health Center termed the act as a threat on the lives of health workers assigned at the center; a reason for which the center was closed.

Meanwhile, authorities of the Ministry of Health in Maryland County are saying they are not aware of the health center being shut down.

Our correspondent in the County, Johnny Nagbe reports that citizens in Boloken town, Pleebo district are finding it difficult to access health facilities.

However, the Ministry of Heath is yet to provide information regarding the reported closure of the health center in Boloken town in Pleebo district.
