CDC-Government lacks political will to reconcile Liberia- Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence Reveals

MONROVIA: Liberty Party Political Leader, Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence says the government lacks the political will to reconcile Liberia.

Senator Karngar-Lawrence said the government cannot be pushing for reconciliation when members of the Legislature are violating the constitution of the country.

She said the impeachment proceeding against Justice Kabineh Ja’neh is unconstitutional.

Meanwhile, Senator Karnga-Lawrence has spoken of a lawsuit issued against her by Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Koijee.

The Grand Bassa County Senator said the writ was taken to the grounds of the Legislature, but the court sheriff was told that the instrument could not be served on grounds that she was in session.

Senator Nyonblee also said the fight against corruption must start from the top.

She mentioned that people who come to public service must be vetted on their tracked records, including their achievements at their former places of work.

She said officials of government who have started buying expensive properties must be audited and strong actions taken.

According to her, such action would send a strong signal to the rest of the world that the people are ready for business.

The Political leader of the Opposition Liberty Party Madam Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence has asserted that the state of the country’s Economy under the Weah’s administration is not encouraging.

Madam Lawrence particular attributed the downward trend in the economy to what she called wrong decisions taken  by officials of government.

According to her Liberians across the country are complaining about the harsh economic difficulty they encounter daily.

Madam Lawrence, Senator of Grand Bassa County has meanwhile viewed the cancellation of tenure position by the executive as another decision that is undermining the state of the economy.

Touching on the Montserrado District 13 Saga, Senator Lawrence indicated that the silence of the Weah government to probe Mayor Koijee over his alleged action does not auger well for this government.

Madam Kangar Lawrence made the assertion Tuesday when she appeared on the OK Conversation.

She maintained that her accusation against Mayor Koijee  of holding cutlasses to harm peaceful citizen will not in any way drive away investors from the country has been speculated in many quarters.
