Monrovia-The Director-General of the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), Bill Twehway has outlined several reform measures under his administration.
Director-General Twehway said LIPA will shortly be transitioned from a diploma and certificate granting institution to a full degree granting body.
Twehway also revealed that LIPA has received 4.4 million United States Dollars from the American government for the construction of the institution’s new campus.
The LIPA Boss said in support of government pro-poor agenda, the institution will be decentralized in order to afford training opportunities to Liberians living outside of Monrovia.
Meanwhile, Mr. Twehway has responded to claims from Representative Ceebee Barshell that he Twehway has failed to turn over to him.
Appearing on OK Morning Rush Hour at the weekend, Representative Barshell said former lawmaker Bill Twehway has not presented a turnover note to him.
But in response, the former Montserrado lawmaker told reporters that there’s no precedent for such, and therefore he has not done any wrong.
At the same time, Twehway said he earned more money while serving at the Legislature, but cannot remember his exact salary.
