Monrovia-Former Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai has termed the maintenance of health equipment as the surest way to curtail unwanted deaths in the country.

Former Vice President Boakai noted that the poor maintenance of health equipment over the years have led to their collapse and unwanted deaths of others.

Speaking during the official launch of Liberia Career Pathways over the weekend, he added that the collapse of the equipment sometimes lead to wrongful diagnosis.

The Liberia Career Pathways is expected to provide biomedical technician training and an innovative computer lab for youth development.

“If Liberia should be on par with other countries, citizens should embrace training opportunities”, Ambassador Boakai noted.

The Ex- Liberian Vice President also lauded the United States based partners for choosing Liberia in helping to train technicians who will repair damaged health equipment in the Country.
