Government samples stakeholders views on its Pro-poor Policy

Monrovia-The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning with support from the United Nations Development Program has embarked on a four day national development planning sectoral consultation on the pro-poor manifesto of government.

The four day consultation is engaging the views of different stakeholders from the public and private sectors in the country.

Speaking at the start of the consultation, Deputy Finance Minister for Budget and Development Planning, Tanneh Brunson said the essence of the consultation is to engage different government stakeholders on the implementation of the pro-poor policy.

For his part, Assistant Finance Minister for Development Planning, Benedict Kolubah said the pro-poor manifesto focuses on five thematic pillars.

Assistant Minister Kolubah named power to the people, economy and jobs, sustaining the peace as well as governance and transparency as areas the pro-poor manifesto will seek to address.
