Liberia seeks Japan’s aid for road renovation

Monrovia,Liberia-The bidding process for the selection of a contractor to execute the second phase of the Somalia Drive Reconstruction Project has gotten underway in Tokyo, Japan.

A three man high level delegation of the government of Liberia which includes Public Works Minister Mobutu Nyenpan, Deputy Minister Clude Langley and project Engineer, Deena Morgan is in Tokyo for the ceremony.

Speaking Monday in the Japanese capital, the Public Works Minister Mobutu Nyenpan acknowledged the opening of the bidding process.

Minister Nyenpan further recounted the numerous contributions of the Japanese government to the people of Liberia.

He added that the level of support from the Japanese government to Liberia speaks of the cordial relations between the two countries.

He disclosed that infrastructure development is the basis of President George Weah’s Pro-poor Agenda for Liberia.
