Speaking at the weekend during a rigorous cleanup exercise carried out by the Weah for Clean City Presidential Taskforce, Mayor Koijee said it was unfortunate for a company like CEMENCO that is generating millions of dollars to renegein address sanitation problems in their vicinity and adjacent communities.

Mayor Koijee who is also the Chairman of the Weah for Clean City Presidential Taskforce stressed that the taskforce will not hesitate to take drastic actions against institutions that attempt to undermine the effort of the City government in making Monrovia a clean and green city.

Our reporter who toured the vicinity of CEMENCO along with the Youthful Mayor observed a huge pile of dirt stalked in the company’s drainage line that is leading to nearby communities thus creating health hazard for the people.

The Mayor has meanwhile called on Liberians to take charge of developmental initiatives in the country, noting that a collective effort is required to make Monrovia a clean and green city.

The national taskforce which was established by president Weah to address the problem of garbage in Monrovia and Paynesville, Saturday removed several makeshift structures along the Somalia Drive Road with Mayor Koijee taking the lead.
