Monrovia: The Liberia National Police has strongly condemned recent attack on some of its officers who had gone to execute a court eviction order in the Chicken Soup Factory Community.

According to Police spokesperson Moses Carter, the officers had gone along with Court Sherriff to serve as backup and were confronted with huge backlash from residents which led to the injuring of several of the officers.
Speaking on variety of issues at a press Conference held at the Police Headquarters, Carter disclosed that seven officers sustained wounds on the heads, legs, while some of them were stabbed and the Court Sheriff was stripped naked.
Carter added, the attackers who were about Five Hundred people, over rode the Police team and took away their Gun, AK 47 riffle.
Speaking in a very angry mood, Carter said since the occurrence of the incident, there have been no condemnations from the Public or Civil Society Group.
At the same time, Carter, told the Conference that four suspected individuals have been arrested in connection to the alleged robbery of one of the Sub Branches of AfrikLand Bank Gbarpolu County.
Suspects Daniel Ricks Alias ‘Monk’, Gabriel Rivercess and Jeremiah Merchant were arrested on 24, October and Charged with the commission of multiple Crimes ,including, Criminal Conspiracy, Burglary, Robbery, Theft of Property, Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Threat.
Police Investigation established that over six million Liberian Dollars and Four Thousand Five Hundred United States Dollar, and Sim Containing Thirty Eight Thousand Liberian Dollars and a Cell Phone were stolen.
The Police also established that these three suspects were seen in Bopolu City on October 23, prior to the incident.
