Pres. Weah submits $ US 536m loan financing agreement to legislature for ratification

Monrovia-President George Weah has submitted to the Liberian Senate and the House of Representative for ratification a loan financing agreement between Eton Finance PTE limited and the government of Liberia in the tune of 536 million United States dollars.

The objective of the loan according to the Liberian Leader is to finance the coastal corridor connection of county capitals.

The Senate’s Secretary Naborlor Singbe read the communication from President George Weah in Thursday’s sitting.

Following the reading of the communication Sinoe County Senator, Milton Teajay made a motion.

After the motion, the president the senate Jewel Howard-Taylor mandated the senate committee on Lands, Mines and Energy to work with the House of Representative and make a report within one week time.
