Alternative National Congress Political Leader Alexander Cummings has vouched out his support for the pending protest expected to be carried out by some opposition politicians on June 7 this year.
Cummings said he supports the action of the protesters to peacefully present their petition to the government intended to save the state.
He expressed deep regret over the manner in which President Weah is reportedly amassing wealth at the expense of the Liberian People and the crumbling economy.
Cummings speaking during the weekend at the National Portlo-Bureau in Clara Town said the President is building fabulous homes without catering to the welfare of the Liberian People.
The government officials will have to set the example.
Our president travels most often, and brings nothing back to us; it’s expensive and cost us huge money, Our Money.
That is not good for us and not a good example for the Liberian people and for investors who may want to come and invest in our country.
Even our donors, if they feel our government is wasting the money, at some point they will stop supporting us because they will know that the money is not being spent on the Liberian people.
We cannot have a government that excludes everybody if you are not a CDciens, you can’t have a Job in the Government.
That’s one of the reasons why Liberia is the way it is. We have excluded too often one Liberian from the other.
Cummings said President Weah has miserably failed in the resuscitation of the economy.
Every Liberian should have the opportunity to benefit from this country called Liberia.
He noted that the Football Legend since his ascendancy has made several foreign travels but returned to the country without any dividend.
