MONROVIA: The Manager of OK FM Smith Toby has been appointed as Press Attaché to the Liberian Embassy in Rome, Italy.
According to a communication from Foreign Minister Gbehzohngar Findley, Mr. Toby’s appointment was approved by president George Manneh Weah based on his tested ability, integrity and strong desire to serve the interest of Liberia.
The Foreign Minister also expressed confidence that Mr. Toby will work closely and harmoniously with the Chief of Mission and other Officers of the Embassy- deploying best efforts in promoting the Foreign Policy Objectives of Liberia though the strengthening of relations Between Liberia and Italy.
Mr. Toby has worked as a professional media practitioner for over 15 years.
He began his professional career in Nimba and later moved to Monrovia where he worked for several media institutions including Kiss FM, UNMIL Radio, and Truth FM.
He also worked as a communications Consultant at the Gender Ministry before Joining OK FM.
Meanwhile, Mr. Toby has commended President Weah for the confidence, while extending appreciation to his many followers during his time in the mainstream media.
He spoke Wednesday while presenting his popular radio show-the OK Conversation.
