Report by Nyantee Togba_nyanteetogba@gmail.com

MONROVIA: The opposition All Liberian Party, ALP says it has formulated a team of legal practitioners to challenge the National Elections Commission results in the just ended Representative by-elections in Montserrado County district #15.

ALP Chairman Theodore Momo said the party will go against any result which does not represent the will of the people in district#15.

Addressing reporters during the weekend, Chairman Momo said the ALP and other collaborating political parties have explicit confidence that Representative Candidate Telia Urey won the election.

According to him, the collaborating political parties will stand stronger together on ensuring a victory.

The ALP Chairman has frowned on President George Weah on what he calls the poor governance of the state.

Chairman Momo noted if the Liberian Leader is not able to steer the affairs of the state he should resign his post as President of the Country.

What is happening in district 15 is broad day robbery of the democratic process. The opposition political parties will never accept it; we will never succumb to it. We will fight to a necessary end.

The CDC, they’ve got nothing to offer our Country, but violence, President Weah needs to step down.

If President Weah cannot bring this country together in peace and harmony, than he has failed his oath.

We have insisted that certain number of precincts in district 15 must be quarantined. The National elections Commission agreed with us.

In the same vein, they are now giving results from the vary centers that were quarantined. How is that possible?

We challenge the national Elections Commission; the 65 out of 94 precincts results they released contain the very affected areas, and that is why today, they are stock up in a dilemma.

Amidst the ALP statement, the National Elections Commission has finally declared Senatorial Candidate Abraham Darius Dillon as winner for the just ended senatorial by elections in Montserrado County.

NEC Chairman Jerome Kokoyah  giving the final result on the senatorial election said Senatorial Candidate Dillon from the four collaborating political parties obtained a total of 102,549 votes constituting  55.74 percent while CDC ‘s Paulita Wie  obtained  63,971 votes representing  34.77 percent.

Also in the NEC preliminary results on the district#15 by elections, Representative Candidate Telia Urey double crossed CDC candidate Abu Kamara with 156 votes margin with 20 polling places remaining.

Miss Urey has so far obtained out of the 74 polling places counted 5,573 votes representing 42.68 percent while Abu  Kamara obtained 5,417 votes  constitution 41.48 percent.

Recently in the NEC first provisional results, CDC Candidate Abu Kamara was ahead of Representative Candidate Telia Urey.
