Recently, the Hot Pepper newspaper in its publication quoted the former Liberian Leader as saying she could not remember anything, because she was already 80 years old.
Former President Johnson Sirleaf told an OK FM interview on Monday, October 29,2018 that her mind is well functioning and at such she could not utter such assertion to any investigators on the 16 billion Liberian Dollars.
The Ex-Liberian leader further termed the headline reported by the local daily as sensational and a propaganda that must not be taken seriously.
“Anybody who said that need to go and look at themselves. Do I look like some to say am 80 years I can’t remember, come on! You got a foolish paper here that is always doing sensational things and those sensational things are not true so, we accustomed to that.
There is absolutely no fact to that, I am very strong, my mind is functioning well and so, that’s trick of propaganda and nobody should listen to that, she said”
She further disclosed during her recent interaction with the investigative team, that everything she did as President was documented and such the investigative team must revert to the Ministry of States for Presidential Affairs for any decision she made.
Meanwhile, Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has been inducted in the International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame.
