Monrovia,Liberia: Former governing Unity Party Standard Bearer Joseph Boakai says the party will still remain a formidable force in the new dispensation of the Liberian Politics.

Ambassador Boakai, who is also Liberia’s former  Vice President said despite the defeat in the 2017 elections, the party will become stronger in  the participation of  future elections.

Speaking over the weekend at the UP’s National Retreat in Buchanan, the UP standard Bearer expressed joy over the manner and form in which the party conducted its campaign during the 2017 elections.

He at the same time cautioned partisans to continue to remain loyal and supportive to the party, noting that this is not the end of the party’s political sojourn.

Amb Boakai then called on supporters to remain hopeful for a better day, adding that life in the opposition is a difficult one.

The Former Liberia’s Vice President meanwhile stressed the need for the party to once again be united in its pursuit for another state power.
