Journalist Rodney Sieh brands National Security Agency as most corrupt Government Entity

MONROVIA: FrontPage Africa’s Managing Editor Rodney Sieh has branded the National Security Agency and Finance and Development Planning Ministry as the most corrupt government entities.

Rodney told the OK Conversation Tuesday, December 17,2018 that,  the exemption of the Agency from external audit is responsible for the manner it is proceeding.

According to the Liberian Investigative Journalist, the over 9 million dollar budget of the ministry is being depleted.

He said, because the ministry is exempt from audit, money is placed in its budget and taken from there covertly by some government officials.

“The National Security Agency is the most corrupt entity in the Country. This is why they placed huge sum of money in the budget for this agency. They feel that the NSA can not be audited and that is wrong.”

Rodney Sieh was responding to government’s reaction to the Tuesday’s edition of his paper, suggesting  about 182,000 United States dollars was paid to a non-existing private entity for services rendered during the National Patriotic Party led-government of Mr. Charles Taylor.

The Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill had rubbished the publication, while threatening court against the journalist.

Rodney said he’s prepared to go to court to face those accusing him of any wrongdoing.

Rodney told the Conversation the fact that a voucher was approved by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, payment was made.

Meanwhile, Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs, Eugene Fargon was Tuesday thrown out of OK FM’s main studio on Lunch Street.

Though uninvited, Minister Fargon without any permission entered the studio and demanded a debate with the guest in studio at the time, Rodney Sieh.
