The accident involved a Toyota land cruiser vehicle of unidentified Chinese Company contracted by MNG Gold and two motorcycles.

MNG Gold is a Turkish Mining Company operating in the area.

Multiple sources also told our Bong County Correspondent; the cause of the accident has not been established up to date.

However, Government’s Relations Officer at MNG Gold Benedict Sayeah confirmed via mobile phone that angry citizens of Saweh town have set ablaze the vehicle involved in the accident.

Mr. Sayeah disclosed the driver of the vehicle whose name remains anonymous is currently in police custody and has been transferred to Gbarnga based upon fears that angry citizens might harm him.

Sayeah is meanwhile calling on authorities of Bong County to quickly handle the situation before it goes offhand.

No official of the Bong Legislative has commented so far as every individual Lawmaker contacted by our correspondent proved innocence.

Meanwhile, latest developments coming in say angry residents Tuesday ransacked the facilities of the company.
