The House has also declared Deputy CBL Governor, Charles Sirleaf as a person of interest.

The House reached the decision Monday after two separate legislative inquiries to ascertain whether Former CBL Governor Weeks and others are linked to the reported missing Liberian currency.

In a motion, Nimba County District Eight Representative Larry Younquoi said the Executive Branch should be communicated to in order to have those shortlisted complied with the Lower House’s investigation.

Representative Younquoi added that their failure to honor the citation will leave that body with no alternative but to make a determination of the matter in the interest of the public.

According to his motion, those shortlisted are expected to appear next week Monday.

“Considering that this is a national emergency situation that requires patience and exhaustive deliberations, I move if I can be seconded that the witnesses be place under contempt and that all other persons of interest that haven written by this plenary including Mr. Charles Sirleaf to be made available to make them cut short whatever matter they have gone to do on behalf of the Country concerning the printing of additional Liberian dollar bank notes, Younquoi motioned”

Speaking earlier, Madam Elsie Dossen Badio, formerly of the Central Bank has since begged for pardon.

Madam Badio while begging for pardon prayed the House of Representatives to cite Charles Sirleaf, the son of Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

‘’ It take about six months to import the money. For me, I left January of 2018, I don’t know when the money came in and I since I left that building, I have not being the.

The only person that could give you the correct information is Charles Sirleaf. Charles Sirleaf and the auditors know exactly when the money arrived, how many dollars and where they took the money to.

So, because of confidentiality, some of these things cannot be exposed. So there is no evil intent while money was taken down to Housing bank.

So, if we err, we just want to say we are very sorry and that we have accepted the mandate of the national legislature, Madam Dossen said”
