A Specialized Legislative Committee recently recommended to that august body preventative measure to address the saga at SIME DARBY.

SIME Darby was accused of torturing a Liberian Citizen and poor sanitary environment for employees including a breach of its concession agreement to have 50 percent Liberians employment in top managerial positions after a period of five years.

After the House’s intervention, SIME Darby appeared Thursday and received the mandate with a reporting period of five days to that body to provide a work plan to curb the situation.

House Speaker Dr. Bhofal Chambers encouraged the Management of SIME Darby to cooperate with the House of Representatives.
