MONROVIA: The national chairman of the governing Coalition for democratic change has called on the special presidential investigative team to invite the opposition Liberty Party into ongoing investigation surrounding the alleged missing 16 billion dollars.

Chairman Mulbah Morlu said it was necessary for the party to provide explanation on where it got its money to procure thirty campaign vehicles that were used by the party in the 2017 elections.
The CDC Chairman said the Liberty party vehicles arrived into the Country in 2017, when the Liberian dollar bank notes were printed.
According to Morlu, the money was printed prior to the election President George.
He spoke in Nimba County during the weekend, when some Nimbaians -including the County Superintendent Dorr Cooper declared their membership to the Congress for Democratic Change.
“I am safely saying opposition Liberty Party should be invited by the special Investigative team to also answer some questions of how they purchase thirty brand new vehicles during the 2017 election period, because it was the same time the Liberian dollars bank notes were printed and ready for shipment into the Country.
It is likely that they are beneficiary of some of the printed bank notes. I am am cognizant of the fact that money was spent by former president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and it is alleged that some of that money landed in hands of Unity Party collaborators, including the Liberty Party,” he said.
Report from the County also suggest those who cross over to the CDC likely made said decision in-order to maintain in their current various possessions.
Some of Citizens who cross over including some Chiefs headed by the head of the Nimba County Traditional Council, Peter Barloun told reporters their decision to join the CDC intended intended to jointly work towards the sustenance peace process in the Country.
Meanwhile Several Chiefs and Elders of Nimba County have openly begged President George Weah to appoint their kinsmen to positions in government.
Report says during the 2017 elections, the political leader of the CDC along with Senator Prince Johnson of Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction promised the Nimba Citizens of improving their living condition and having them inclusive in government if they vote the CDC to power.
In Response, the national Chairman of the CDC, Mulbah Morlu assured the chiefs and elders of the President commitment to the agreement.
