Minister Mcgill Promises Lawsuit Against Journalist Rodney Sieh Over Publication

MONROVIA: Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill says he earned for himself some money before taking up a ministerial post.

Minister McGill said his take-home salary at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications was 2,500 United States Dollars.

McGill said he worked for the ministry for four years before quitting.

McGill, former Chairman of governing Coalition for Democratic Change said he was compensated during his days in opposition.

He spoke Tuesday while appearing on the OK Morning Rush.

Meanwhile, Minister McGill has reiterated that FrontPage Africa’s Managing Editor Rodney Sieh will have to appear in court to prove allegations levied against him.

FrontPage Africa in one of its publication linked Minister McGill to the payment of 182, 000 United States dollars owed to a foreign firm under the administration of Charles Taylor.

Minister McGill told the OK Morning Rush that his lawyers are piecing together the necessary documents in order to file the lawsuit against the Liberian investigative journalist.

The minister said he could have his decision reconsidered once Rodney retracts what he terms the damage story.
