Police Officer stoned to death by ordinary citizens

Monrovia-An officer of the Liberia National Police Support Unit has allegedly been killed by in the New LBS Community in Paynesville.

Officer Moses Bedell was reportedly stoned in the head by a man named David Wilson at a place where they both had gone to sympathize with a bereaved family.

According to Police Spokesman Moses Carter, Officer Bedell had tried to calm suspect David Wilson who was allegedly misbehaving over the loss of his phone.

Addressing a news conference, Mr Carter told journalists that upon the suspect’s alleged misbehavior and disturbance the officer asked him out but he refused.

The suspect then allegedly took a rock and stoned the officer at the back of his neck.

Meanwhile, another patrol police officer has also been allegedly killed in a motor accident.

Officer Cornelius Stewart was riding a patrol Bike at the weekend when a Blue Bus with Plate Number B10093 operated by a man identified as Moses Kollie collided with the officers’ Bike.

The Officer was immediately rushed to the Jonh F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The bus driver Moses Kollie has been arrested and is undergoing police interrogation.
