Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph says he is not bothered about the names surfacing to contest the Senate seat in the 2023 General Elections.

Senator Saah Joseph will be seeking reelection in the pending 2023 General elections for the Montserrado County Senate Race.

Political Commentator Henry Costa and Former Unity Party Chairman Wilmot Paye are among prominent names seeking to unseat the senator.

But Senator Joseph told Journalists on Wednesday that the level of work that he has and continues to do for the people of Montserrado County will speak for him at the ballot box.

“There is no other name that resonates with common people of Montserrado County except Saah Joseph, the Ebola Hero; there is no contender that is popular among the people of Montserrado County to threaten my reelection”.

As the 2023 elections draws closer, The Senator is boosting developmental initiatives throughout the county, most especially the rural areas where residents feel abandoned by past and current administrations.

Some of his initiatives include rehabilitation of feeder roads, mobile health services and public transportation.

Currently, the Senator is rehabilitating the famous Arthington Road, which had since been left out of past and current Governments’ Developmental Agenda over the past 21 years.

The Lawmaker said during a tour of the road that “we have been into road rehabilitation over the past three years and this road is in continuation of our work for the people. This is not about elections; we are talking about development not elections”.
